From left to right:
Jasper van der Steen on drums and doing backing vocals, Bart Bouman playing bass, Dirk Krijgsman on rhythm guitar and doing vocals and Laurèn Pennings on lead guitar.
Heavily influenced by bands like Alice in Chains and Queens of the Stone Age, their sound stands out by their ultra low and heavy guitar sound, and their distinctive vocal style, which often includes the harmonized vocals between Krijgsman and Van der Steen.
On stage 22AD takes you on an adventurous, hypnotizing and surrealistic trip with their groove, their rhythm and melancholic singing.
At the beginning of 2019 the first of two singles "Lead the Way" was released including an awesome video clip. Their second single What Takes Care of You is just released and also available on all major platforms.
Right now they are working on a new EP to be release at the the beginning of 2021.

Dirk Krijgsman - Vocals / Rhythm on strings / Piano
*He had to explain to his gray haired little grandma that the D on his guitar stood for Dreams and not for the Devil.
*Dirk loves all sports except for volleyball, which he considers more to be a jumping contest. He's willing to turn a blind eye for beach volleyball.
*His favorite movie is Fight Club.
Jasper vd Steen - Rhythm section / Vocals
*Saw three dogs fighting over a bone once. When they weren't paying attention, he snatched the bone under their droopy noses and got away.
*Favorite color: Black with a silver lining.
*Jasper feels that he's a real outdoors kind a guy, except when it's more convenient to stay indoors.
Bart Bouman - Low tones on strings
*Bart is an expert mover. The record is 7 times in 24 months.
*Sweats on one arm, tells time on the other.
*He is a firm believer of using technology first, ask questions later.
Laurèn Pennings - Lead on strings
*Loves designing the world, one building at a time.
*Laurèn knows his guitars, like they know him.
*The word is green. Just plain and simple green. You know....green.
